From cosy cat cafés and mysterious bookshops to simple living and mudlarking by the Thames - here’s all the books that have captured my heart so far this year!
Such great recommendations, I always love reading about books! "Snowed In at the Cat Café" was only 0,99€ on Kindle so I have downloaded it and it will be my December read :)
Loved reading your bookish newsletter. I always end up adding new books to my Kindle list when I see recommendations 😂.
I used to be the same as you with going through phases with reading. Up until last year that is exactly how I was. I decided at the beginning of this year to try and read something every day and so far it's been going well.
I've got one or two of the Cat Café series in my Kindle list but haven't gotten around to buying any yet.
You might enjoy the Borrow a Bookshop series I read recently. It's set in a village called Clove Lore which is basically Clovelly. The bookshop is available to rent for two weeks where you become a book seller and adjoining café owner baking your own cakes. It's a lovely series, I highly recommend it.
I loved Kate Humble's book, particularly learning about the Earthships. They weren't what I was expecting when I Googled them.
Thank you for writing this - I've got two new subscriptions to read on Substack and a couple of books to have a look at as possibilities for the summer! 🥰
A very eclectic mix!
