We had a green woodpecker in the garden last week with it's bright red head standing out so much against the grass! It's the return of the light which is really helping me at the moment, as well as seeing all the green shoots starting to push through the dark earth. Primroses and mini daffodils are cheering up the garden too.
So many little joys of early spring to see and hear. Hearing the songs of song thrushes and great tits fills me with spring joy. And yesterday evening a blackbird was singing in the garden, the first ‘full’ blackbird song I have heard this year🐦⬛ Soon their song will fill the air🧡
