What I Learned When I Redesigned My Instagram Grid
I'm sharing 5 things that I’ve learned since redesigning my Instagram grid.
Whether you’re a small business owner, an individual, or a kindred spirit looking for inspiration and encouragement for your digital marketing, you’ve definitely come to the right place. On my blog, you’ll discover tips, how-to guides, recommendations, and advice – all lovingly created to support you on your digital marketing journey while embracing a slower, simpler, and more down-to-earth approach. Until recently, I didn’t realise just how set in my ways I was with my Instagram grid. I’d been debating for a while whether or not to give my page a little makeover, but I kept putting it off and stuck to posting the same way I always have. I was having trouble embracing the change, experimenting, and mixing things up a bit.
I finally decided to give it a try, and if I wasn’t happy with the result or felt it wasn’t working, I could always switch back. My main goal was to make my Instagram work better for my small business and bring the joy back into posting. It’s something I’m really passionate about helping others with, but I found that I was neglecting my own, and at that point, I was definitely feeling overwhelmed by Instagram.
If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, you might be wondering what’s changed. I decided to skip an image on every post and instead create a graphic for every other one, sharing text like testimonials, quotes, snippets from my blog and Substack, and more. It meant that instead of an image, people could immediately see something related to my business, highlighting what I do, while also creating more relatable and shareable content, and not just keeping it to the caption.
If you’re looking for new inspiration for your Instagram page while hoping to make it work better for you, I hope this blog post brings a little encouragement, especially if you have ideas but feel unsure about them… a gentle reminder to explore, welcome fresh ideas, and let curiosity guide you.
Sometimes, stepping beyond the familiar can blossom into something beautifully unexpected.
