It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through April. I’m so glad we are though, it’s such a joy to hear birdsong while I work, watch the garden slowly come to life, enjoy sunny evening walks, and soak up the warmth in the air.
As my Journal of Soulful Reflections is an authentic, cosy and heartfelt extension of my small business, Clementine Rose, I thought it might be a lovely moment to share a few posts from my blog, especially if you’re looking for a little inspiration to start planting seeds within your own online presence this spring.
Here, you can explore why your blog is a brilliant digital marketing tool, some reflections from a beautiful bespoke commission, how stepping beyond the familiar can blossom into something beautifully unexpected, and why even the smallest thing you share can land exactly where it’s needed. Plus, you'll see how I can help support you on your digital marketing journey.
5 Reasons Why Your Blog is the Perfect Digital Marketing Tool

“Fun fact: I was a blogger for many years! I started my blog, Clem Loves, back in 2012 and continued until 2022 when I launched Clementine Rose. Blogging was a big part of my daily life during that time.
Over the past 10 years I’ve worked and partnered with many different brands, companies and publishers, such as Oaks Jewellery, Udi’s, Propercorn, Harper Collins, Fat Face, House of Fraser, JD Williams, Gaston Luga, Simply Be, The Good Book Company, Lighthouse Clothing and more. I’ve also worked with authors such as Katie Ginger, Katherine Arden, Charlie Laidlaw, Jason Minick, Jamie Admans and Ruth Hogan, reviewing and creating content on my blog.
I’m forever thankful for the amazing opportunities that blogging has brought…”
In this blog post, I’ve listed 5 reasons why your blog is the perfect digital marketing tool. If you have a website, but haven’t yet got a blog on it, perhaps this post will inspire and encourage you to begin one.
When you need a kindred spirit: promoting song settings of poems by L.M. Montgomery

“You might recognise the name L.M. Montgomery, but if not, you’ve likely heard of Anne of Green Gables, one of her most famous and beloved stories. I’m a big fan of Montgomery’s work, but working on a commission featuring her poems earlier this year has been a wonderful way to discover even more of her writing, deepening my appreciation for her beautiful talent.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Project Mauve on a bespoke commission to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of L.M. Montgomery, and a tribute to her work. For this wonderful project I worked on the photography, videography, and the creation of a promotional plan and digital album cover…”
In this guest blog post, Ruth Carlyle from Project Mauve reflects on our time of working together and the value of finding a kindred spirit.
What I Learned When I Redesigned My Instagram Grid

“Until recently, I didn’t realise just how set in my ways I was with my Instagram grid. I’d been debating for a while whether or not to give my page a little makeover, but I kept putting it off and stuck to posting the same way I always have. I was having trouble embracing the change, experimenting, and mixing things up a bit.
I finally decided to give it a try, and if I wasn’t happy with the result or felt it wasn’t working, I could always switch back. My main goal was to make my Instagram work better for my small business and bring the joy back into posting. It’s something I’m really passionate about helping others with, but I found that I was neglecting my own, and at that point, I was definitely feeling overwhelmed by Instagram…”
If you’re looking for new inspiration for your Instagram page while hoping to make it work better for you, I hope this post brings a little encouragement, especially if you have ideas but feel unsure about them… a gentle reminder to explore, welcome fresh ideas, and let curiosity guide you. Sometimes, stepping beyond the familiar can blossom into something beautifully unexpected.
The Quiet Magic of Showing Up and Sharing Your Voice

“I was recently reflecting on one of my very first blog posts from quite a few years ago, back when I was blogging on Clem Loves… who remembers that?! It was a simple post about tea, and how I found that by drinking herbal teas they helped to heal my eczema (which I still highly recommend). I took a few pictures on a very old iPhone, and I think I just wrote a few paragraphs.
At the time, I wasn’t really promoting my blog on social media (Instagram was also still quite new then), but SEO was obviously doing its quiet magic in the background. One day, I received a lovely comment from someone who had read my post… it was just that one comment, but it truly made my day.”
In this blog post, you’ll discover the quiet magic of showing up and sharing your voice; a gentle reminder that your presence matters more than you know, not just for your online community, but for your own growth too.
