In my Moments in Nature series, you’ll find a monthly, seasonal collection of photos, sharing the beauty of the natural world and the changing seasons. Join me to explore and discover some of my favourite nature-filled places.
A warm welcome to the next chapter of my Moments in Nature series. Today, I’m excited to share with you a collection of photos from one of my most favourite nature-filled spots to visit, Matlock Bath.
Although I took the following photos a while back, when I look at them now, I can notice the subtle signs that autumn is on its way! The colours are beginning to change, nature is savouring the last moments of late summer, and preparing for its yearly slumber, and the summer flowers quietly settle into their rest.
I love this note that
shared, mentioning a few of the small signs he's noticed that show the seasons are changing. I wonder what ones you are noticing? Here are a few of mine:
The fresh crisp air in the mornings
I’m craving hot chocolate
The red and brown hues amongst the trees
My big jumper has made an appearance
Nature is beginning to look quite sleepy
The washing is taking much longer to dry outside
Spiders are coming into the house
As I type this we’ve just had a downpour of rain and some thunder!
Matlock Bath is such a beautiful place which is not only filled with nature, but is also surrounded by it too. I recently wrote some reflections on our time away there:
As we walked through and explored Matlock Bath, it was wonderful to see so many people, families, and young children enjoying time outdoors in nature. It's a beautiful reminder of how much nature gives us and how it can bring us together.
What are you looking forward to as the seasons begin to change?
Until next time…
